There are rules and regulations that we need to follow to protect both the young people who attend Playscheme and you, the volunteer. This might make the application process seem long-winded but please don't let it put you off. We are here to help with any questions so please call us if you need to.

If you are over 15 years old, are patient, caring and enjoy helping others then please contact us to request a volunteer pack!

Your pack will include:

Application Process

1. An Application Form

2. PVG Disclosure application form

3. Dates of Induction Training

4. Dates of Volunteering opportunities

5. Date of next Training opportunities

This asks for your contact details, why you want to volunteer and details of two people who can provide a reference for you.

You must become a member of the PVG Disclosure scheme to volunteer. This checks that you have not done anything in your past which will prevent you working with vulnerable chidlren.

All volunteers must complete a 2 hour Induction session covering the basics of volunteering & child protection.

We run playschemes in the Easter, Summer and October school holidays. You are welcome to sign up for as many weeks as you are availible. We ask you make a minimum commitment of 1 full week (4 days).

We run a full day training session before each playscheme where you can choose from a programme of training workshops.

Please note you can not begin your volunteering until you have completed your induction training, your PVG Disclosure has been returned and we have recieved 2 satisfactory references.
